BEAUTY & THE BEAST
I was looking at some prefight videos and based on what I was looking at it was like you were seeing two different personalities coming into the ring to win. Cristiane 'Cyborg' Santos...that name says it all. She fought with determination like Arnold freaking Schwarzenegger. She regulated in that ring. She pummels her opponents like a rag doll in the ring. She came to win. Carano had heart and style and I wanted her to win but she was just not ready to be brutal. Sometimes you just have to come out of your element when you are fighting with a beast and do things you are not accustomed to doing. Despite her loss, her fans cannot stop praising her.One blogger after her defeat had this to say: “I disagree with what these guys say about the Gina and Cyborg fight. Technical skill and speed makes Gina the better striker. Gina has a lot more tools in that area, Cyborg has power, but she put so much in to her strikes that she over commits her self also just about every punch she throws is telegraphed very badly, so those 2 flaws added to Gina's skill striking works in Ginas favor. Hopefully Gina is trained well enough to capitalize on those 2 thing. Also you know Gina is well versed in grappling, she trains with Randy Couture, so I dont think Cyborg is going to have that big of an advantage if any at all.”(Source: Khabrein.info)
I was amazed watching the men during this fight. Dudes like watching chicks fight. It just does something for them. I guess it was the right mix of one blonde and one brunette slugging it out in the ring. Cyborg is a bit masculine but, she still fits the bill for a fantasy. Carano is just darn beautiful and I know the men were fantasizing about this woman. There was no question about it. You know you like that stuff. Be honest about it... :-)
All in all it was a good fight. Two chicks, a beatdown, popcorn, and excitement. Who could ask for anything more?
